As a central institution of Dresden University of Applied Sciences, the computing centre is responsible for the university's complete IT communications infrastructure, including operation of the central servers and other services.

The computing centre also provides the faculties and institutions of Dresden University of Applied Sciences with additional services. Besides coordinating provision of software, this also includes conceptual and organisational support for the procurement of data processing systems.
