Welcome!

Are you interested in a form of Computer Science studies at the HTW Dresden? Then give us the opportunity to bring you closer to our concept and to provide you with some insight into the studies themselves and our work. You are also welcome to visit us and speak with us in person. Studying at a University of Applied Sciences is based on solid theoretical foundations and is generally more practical and application-oriented than traditional universities. Learning and working in small study groups and the proximity to professors and companies are the success factors that drive you to graduation and direct entry into the professional world. Students from our Faculty regularly deliver award-winning theses, which receive attention at both business and academic conferences.

The modern applications of Computer Science are used in all scientific disciplines and have become indispensable in our daily lives. Computer Science is no longer purely engineering in nature, and has become more attractive as a result of combining it with special fields of application such as media and the economy. In addition to the vision of interdisciplinarity, we would like to increase the proportion of women studying and working in modern occupational fields.

With us you can decide for yourself on the duration of your studies. We offer study opportunities lasting 3 (Bachelor), 4 (Diploma) and 5 years (Bachelor + Master). The flexibility of switching your studies within the University enables you to make a decision on your future. Due to the compatibility of internationally comparable degrees, we also support continuing education during a semester abroad or the possibility of doctoral studies.

In the three fields of study Computer Science, Business Informatics and Media Informatics we offer the following internationally recognised study programmes:
