The Agriculture study programme with the degree of “Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) has been on offer by the faculty since the winter semester 2007/2008.
The Bachelor study programme offer a first professionally qualifying degree in six semesters, which qualifies for management positions in agricultural enterprises, for example.
The study programme currently has a capacity of 40 study places. In order to enable individual work, practice and internships are undertaken in seminar groups (20 students) or small project groups (3-10 students).
A company internship in the 4th semester is integrated into the study. This guarantees intensive interlocking with agricultural practice.
Courses in the form of practice in an agricultural cooperative enterprise in Saxony is integrated into the curriculum. In this practical work, the production-related particularities in animal and plant production are specifically taught.
The study programme was accredited by the Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik e. V. (ASIIN) on 12.04.2010.
