The “Bildungsberatung Garantiefonds Hochschule” (GF-H) (University Educational Guidance Guarantee Fund) supports young immigrants to prepare to pursue university studies in Germany. Refugees and late re-settlers have the opportunity to apply to the GF-H Bildungsberatung service (educational advice service) for acceptance onto a sponsorship programme, in accordance with the “Richtlinien Garantiefonds Hochschulbereich – RL-GF-H” (regulations of the University Guarantee Fund). The scholarship programme of Brot für die Welt supports prospective refugee students who are pursuing a study programme at a state accepted university/university of applied sciences in Germany. Besides financial support scholarship holders will have the opportunity to attend educational seminars in line with the accompanying programme STIPE and STUBE. Applicants are asked to contact a local evangelical student community in Germany for an applicant reference. The scholarship accompanying programme hochform is initiated by the Deutsche Universitätsstiftung in collaboration with the Wakter Büchert Foundations. It is designed for refugee students who have been admitted to a Master study programme at a German university/university of applied sciences.

The scholarship programme of the Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst is supports refugee students who are currently enrolled at a German university/university of applied sciences. The scholarship department of the Heinrich Böll Foundation grants scholarships to graduates, and doctoral students from outside of Germany, including refugee students. In line with the programme Garantiefonds Hochschule the Otto Benecke Foundation e.V. supports immigrants, including refugees, before and during their academic education in Germany. This programmes applies to prospective refugee students who pursue a higher education degree in Germany (Hochschulreife) or who intend to receive an academic degree at a German university/university of applied sciences in Germany.
