The HTW Dresden is on its way to becoming an inclusive university. It is therefore striving to determine and adress concerns regarding the study organisation, advisory and support services, structural and technical infrastructure. The same applies to the requirements placed on the course content in order to broaden the understanding and knowledge of future graduates of our university.
In order to achieve these goals, measures for the improvement of inclusion at the HTW Dresden are developed in consultation with the commissioner for inclusion, the representation of the severely disabled at the university, the rectorial board and the support of the SMWK.
Students and prospective students
You will find contact persons for a smooth course of study on the pages of the student advisory service.
If you have any questions about the course content and the organisation of your studies (e. g. individual study schedules), please contact the Dean of Studies in your faculty.
Here you can get an overview of the measures implemented to improve the infrastructure.
The integration agreement between the Dresden University of Applied Sciences, the Representation for the Disabled and the Staff Council regulates the integration of severely disabled and chronically ill persons in everyday university life. It can be found on the german version of this page.
The integration of people with disabilities into work and education is a prerequisite for participation in social life. In order to guarantee this, the representative for inclusion, the representation of severely handicapped persons, deans, department heads and the university management work together in a spirit of trust at the HTW Dresden and maintain a mutual exchange of information. Workplaces for the disabled are provided and working hours can be adjusted according to the severity of the disability. In the event of severe disability as a result of an accident or illness, the employees are assisted in maintaining their jobs.
