HTWD opens International Week 2025 - encounters, exchange and diversity on campus

International Week 2025 opened today at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden (HTWD) with a ceremonial welcome and a varied programme of events.

The university is delighted to welcome 19 international guests from 11 different countries this year. The International Week, which takes place from 2 to 6 June, is all about intercultural dialogue, international cooperation and active university partnerships. To kick off the event, the participants were given an official welcome by the Rectorate, giving them an initial insight into the HTWD and its diverse activities. Afterwards, they were able to familiarise themselves with the campus on guided tours and experience Dresden's historic old town on a city tour.

The week's programme includes practice-oriented workshops on topics such as intercultural communication, science communication and environmental technology as well as a broad cultural programme. A special highlight is the Dies academicus on Wednesday, when the entire university presents itself with a variety of events, culinary offerings and a silent disco in the evening.

‘For us, the International Week is a living symbol of international cooperation and academic exchange. We look forward to many inspiring discussions, new impulses and shared perspectives for the future.
