German-Georgian Student Conference (GGSC) 2026 at the Georgian Technical University
The German-Georgian Student Conference (GGSC) took place in Tbilisi. This international conference strengthens academic cooperation between Germany and Georgia and offers students a platform to present their research to an international audience and exchange experiences. Students and lecturers from the HTWD attended the event.
The third German-Georgian Student Conference (GGSC) 2026 took place in October at the Georgian Technical University (GTU) in Tbilisi. The event was organised by the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems at GTU in collaboration with HTW Dresden.
The conference aims to strengthen German-Georgian academic cooperation, promote student research activities and facilitate access to international academic networks for young researchers.
Presenting research and forging international contacts
The GGSC brings together students and representatives from the academic community in both countries. Participants present their projects and findings, discuss current scientific issues and gain insights into other research perspectives. In doing so, the conference creates a space for the exchange of knowledge and experience, the development of new research ideas and the establishment of personal contacts within the international scientific community.
Student research papers are published
Ten students, as well as Professor Mario Neugebauer from the Faculty of Informatics/Mathematics and Professor Stefan Handke from the Faculty of Business Administration at HTW Dresden, took part in this year’s conference. A particular focus was placed on the publication of students’ research papers. The conference proceedings will be published by HTWD. This provides the research findings of the German and Georgian students with a shared publication platform, ensuring they remain visible to the academic community beyond the event itself. At the same time, the publication offers young researchers the opportunity to document their academic work and gain experience with academic publication processes.
