Information of the university management on the coronavirus (SARs-CoV-2)

The Rectorate, in consultation with the crisis management team, has made the following arrangements for further action until 3 May

The Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance, which has been in force since 20 April 2020, makes it possible to partially reopen universities again, while observing appropriate distance and hygiene measures. In the coming days, preparations for the gradual opening and leaving the standby mode are to be made. For this purpose, the faculties and the library are currently examining under which conditions the acceptance of examinations, the performance of laboratory internships and exercises, research work and a partial opening of the library is possible.

It is our goal to avoid any disadvantages for the students this semester and to guarantee the best possible teaching. We are aware of our responsibility to protect the health of all university members and to avoid the spread of SARs-CoV-2. For this reason, only absolutely necessary attendance courses should be held. The specific distance and hygiene regulations to be observed are currently being drawn up. Teaching will be continued with a focus on digital teaching and the semester will be referred to as "online semester with presence options.

The university buildings will remain closed until 3 May. Access is only possible with a valid service card.

Information on the course of the examinations and the rest of the semester will be provided as soon as reliable information is available. Possible concepts and scenarios are currently being examined.
