Scholarships for Study and Practical Training at TSMC in Taiwan

The allocation of remaining places for the summer semester 2026 with a study visit to NTU will start on 1 September 2025. Applications for the winter semester 2026/2027 with a study visit to NTUST or NYCU will open in November 2025.

Are you studying Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Chemistry? Then the Semiconductor Talent Incubation Program Taiwan (STIPT) offers you a unique opportunity:

Apply in the next call for a scholarship-supported international study and practical training program in Taiwan – the global hotspot of the semiconductor industry! The program is especially seeking students from the following fields:

  • Electrical Engineering (Elektrotechnik)
  • Microelectronics (Mikroelektronik)
  • Nanoelectronics (Nanoelektronik)
  • Materials Science (Werkstoffkunde)
  • Mechatronics (Mechatronik)
  • Mechanical Engineering (Maschinenbau)
  • Equipment Engineering (Gerätetechnik)
  • Automation Technology, Automation Engineering (Automatisierungstechnik)
  • Robotics (Robotik)
  • Sensoric (Sensorik)
  • Computer Science, Information Technology (Informatik)

In cooperation with partner universities in Saxony, the STIPT program works closely with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC) and the prestigious universities National Taiwan University (NTU), National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST or TaiwanTech), and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU).

You can expect an exciting course program – practical, future-oriented, and closely linked to key topics in the semiconductor industry.

The highlight: After four months at a Taiwanese university, you will complete the program with a two-month practical training at TSMC – one of the world’s leading companies in the semiconductor market.

Information sessions for applications for remaining places will be held on August 22 at 1:00 PM and September 3 at 1:00 PM.
