Recognition of foreign language examinations
Have you already successfully completed language courses? Then you have the opportunity to have these achievements recognised for your studies! Early application is strongly recommended so that you can take alternative modules in good time in the event of rejection.
What can be recognised?
Foreign language examination results from a previous degree programme at HTW Dresden or another university.
This is how the application works:
Please submit the following documents:
- The fully completed application for recognition of the examination performance
- A copy of your student ID card
- A copy of the official transcript of records clearly stating the following:
- the foreign language taken
- the language level achieved (e.g. B2, C1)
- Grading and ECTS points and/or semester hours per week
- The module description, if the course was completed at another university
Note: An entry such as "Foreign language 1.7" without further details is unfortunately not sufficient.
👉 To submit the application:
Data protection compliant by post or email to zfs(at)htw-dresden.de.
Your application will usually be reviewed within a week and then forwarded to the examination board of your Faculty and the Examinations Office.
