Publication guidelines

Scientific publications are an important indicator of research achievements at the Dresden University of Applied Sciences (HTWD). Due to their quantifiability, publication data often form the basis of personalised and institutional performance assessments. Against this background, it is important that this data is recorded correctly.

The HTWD publication guidelines facilitate the clear and complete allocation of all publications to the respective authors and their institution in order to ensure or increase the visibility of the research work carried out at the HTWD. To this end, the guideline contains information and specifications on the following topics, among others

  • Academic identity management
  • Correct indication of affiliation or institutional affiliation
  • Use of persistent identifiers (ORCID, ROR)
  • Consideration of funding acknowledgements
  • Reporting publications to the university bibliography
  • Approaches and support services for open access publishing
