Meet HTW Dresden in Vietnam
12.12.2019Currently 30 international students from Vietnam are studying for their degree at the HTW Dresden. The Vietnamese students, who are currently studying at the HTW Dresden with great success, are aware of the practically oriented teaching of the university and are very well integrated into the everyday study routine. Successful cooperations have existed at the research level of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in the field of water management (research cooperations with Thuyloi University since 2015, a long-term joint research project with German and Vietnamese SMEs and universities funded by the BMBF since 2019, and a contract with the University of Transport and Communication in Hanoi since 2000). A cooperation with specifically selected Vietnamese partners ties in with the objectives of the internationalisation strategy and the Future.East project, which was established within the framework of HAW.international. Student mobility should be increased in both directions. Within this framework, the HTW Dresden took part in the German University Fair Vietnam from December 6th to 8th, 2019 in order to inform prospective students about the study offer, the application process and Dresden as an interesting study location. Study trip to Moscow 2019 - supported by DAAD
03.12.2019On 25 November 2019, five students each from the Faculty of Economics and Computer Science, headed by Prof. Dr. Julia Krause and Prof. Dr. Elena Klimova, took off for Moscow. During the one-week excursion to the Russian capital Moscow, a varied programme took place, consisting of lectures at the RUT, excursions to national and international companies and, last but not least, visits to cultural and leisure facilities. Student Exchange Program with Florida State University in Tallahassee, USA
24.10.2019Since 1998, the Studentenwerk Dresden has been conducting an annual exchange together with Florida State University and the financial support of the Max Kade Foundation: The Beyond Borders Program . The trip to Tallahassee/Florida takes place between February and March (during the semester break). The aim of the programme is to get to know the partner country even better. The various activities enable you to learn more about the USA and the people living there. In addition to the tourist programme, you will also be involved in social projects and experience everyday student life on "Shadow Day". By the way, but very intensively, you will get a lesson in the "American way of life". The program also includes an "Independent Travel" (4-5 days), which you organize yourself with your group.
