BiotroNiS aims to create a research network for bioelectronics that links interdisciplinary partners for the development of bioelectronic materials and systems. In addition to a planned collaboration with established institutions such as Organic Electronics Saxony, Biosaxony and Silicon Saxony, the following project partners are involved in the research network: Leibniz Institutes for Polymer Research Dresden e. V. (IPF) and for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden e. V. (IFW), Technische Universität Dresden (TUD), Centre for Applied Research and Technology e. V. (ZAFT e.V.), Kurt-Schwabe-Institut Meinsberg e. V. (KSI), Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology (FEP), Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Applied Materials Research (IFAM), German Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) and Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR).
