Information on the interim library

You will find the Interim Library on the ground floor of the Z building. The service desk is located in room Z 139, where colleagues from the university library will be happy to assist you during opening hours.

The following study rooms are also available on the same corridor:

• Seats for quiet individual work: Z 136 B
• Seats for group work: Z 136 C
• Library lounge: Z 141

Until the end of the lecture-free period on 26 September 2025, the Interim Library is open as follows

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
• Tuesday, Thursday: 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

From 29 September, the Interim Library will be open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

You can order printed media via the library catalogue after registration and borrow, return and renew them in the Interim Library in the Z building (room Z 139).

You will be notified by e-mail as soon as your order is ready for collection. This is usually the case on the next working day.

The library's electronic media services (e-books, e-journals, databases) are available to all members of the HTWD on the campus network or via VPN client.

In the interim library in the Z building, there will be workstations for different needs:

• Places for quiet individual work: Z 136 B
• Places for group work: Z 136 C
• Library lounge: Z 141

These rooms are accessible on weekdays from 6.00 am to 5.15 pm. A valid work, student or library card is required for access from 5.15 pm to 10.00 pm.

All library training courses on literature research and literature management with Zotero will be offered as usual.

The branch library in Pillnitz is not affected by the restrictions and will be available to you as normal during the winter semester.

For all questions and concerns, the library staff will be available to you as usual by e-mail or telephone and, from 25 August, on site in the Z building (Z 139).
