Invitation to attend safety training
If you have been automatically redirected to this page, you will shortly receive an email from awareness.training@htw-dresden.de containing a certificate, asking you to complete a security training course.
The link to the security training leads to the server awareness.rz.htw-dresden.de. Please take a few minutes to watch this training video.
How can you tell from the following email that this is a phishing attempt?
- The email is marked as [External]
- The sender is not from HTW Dresden
- Time pressure is being exerted by setting the deadline as short as possible.
- The link does not lead to HTW Dresden. You can tell this by hovering your mouse over the link without clicking it
- The telephone number does not belong to HTW Dresden
What should you do if it’s already happened?
The example above is a phishing simulation. Nothing has actually happened here. However, if you have previously clicked on a similar email from a different sender, your password and/or your computer may have been compromised.
Change your password immediately. To do so, do not click on any links; instead, check the HTW Dresden website directly.
Report this incident to the ZID or the Information Security Officer.
