About the Summit
The aim of Open Identity Summit 2026 (OID2026) is to link practical experiences and requirements with academic innovations. Focus areas will be Research and Applications in the area of Identity Management, Trust Services, Open Source, End-to-End Encryption, and Cloud Computing.
Specifically, we look for submissions in the following topics:
- Technological Foundations and Security of Digital Identity
- Governance, Privacy, and Trust Frameworks
- Applications and Domain-Specific Use Cases
- Human and Societal Dimensions of Digital Identities and Identity Management
- Open Source and Collaborative Innovation
Venue
The summit takes place May 21–22, 2026 at University of Applied Sciences Dresden (HTW Dresden) in Dresden, Germany. The HTW Dresden, with around 4,800 students, is the second largest university in Dresden. Internationally, Dresden is renowned both as a city of culture, with numerous iconic landmarks, and as a major hub for technology and science, hosting nine universities and a dense network of research institutions. - Paper Submission Deadline: January 31st, 2026
- Notification of Acceptance: March 31st, 2026
